If you haven't heard Adrienne Pierce's new album, 'Oh Deer', now's the time! Described as "the icon of the literate pop scene", this talented artist has had songs featured on Veronica Mars, Grey's Anatomy and The Hills, to name just a few. Even better...she's an Orb Girl!   

While her introspective lyrics seemingly cut to the core of many of her emotions, Adrienne always manages to balance this with melodious refrains and a current of optimism that keeps you wanting more. Listening to her album while relaxing in a shady spot in the park seems like the perfect way to spend part of the upcoming long weekend!

Not just about sound, Adrienne also explores her artistry through mesmerizing visuals. The music video for 'Museum' - the album's third track - depicts Adrienne in a fun series of colorful balloon hats and is set before a simple, white background.

"We shot against a white wall using a borrowed camera and a lot of imagniation to create a film that captures the spirit of the song and a fun work of art in itself," says the video's director, Allison Beda. And fun it is! 'Museum' is a sure favorite and a  perfect day-starter.

Fireworks tonight!

Celebration of Light

You know it’s midsummer in Vancouver when people start talking about the Celebration of Light – a world class fireworks competition held at English Bay, part of the city’s gorgeous waterfront.

The lucky countries who’ll be showing their stuff this year are USA, Spain, Mexico and China. Did we mention that the fireworks are set to music? Spectacular! Here’s some additional info:

Last week we introduced you to the Jasmin (OSP10-1305), a dress that can be easily dressed up or down. This week’s pick is just pure fun!

You’ll want to cheer when you start your day in the Ra-Ra (OSP10-1304). Look how Adri shines in front of our flagship store on Fourth Ave.! With its lightweight feel and cute-as-a-button look, this is an easy breezy style for summer.

 One of our favorite things about this dress is how easily it lends itself to accessorizing (which, as we know, is almost as important as brushing our teeth in the morning!). • Commuting to our head office in Richmond and/or Orb's flagship store on 4th avenue for fittings depending on design&productions location.

• flexible schedule (available Mon-Fri office hours)
• availability with 24-48hrs notice

MX2 Intermediate 19th Overall (against 31 boys) 

Denaye has a few more races before the competition eases up....GOOD LUCK on the 17th of July in Millville and then on to the Canadian Finals!.

July 17 in Milville, Minesota for a WMA Round followed by the Walton, Ontario Final Round of the Canadian Womens Nationals EAST/WEST Shootout Series.
